I have to say that it came a lot later in the construction process than for most coasters, but Gold Striker at California's Great America has finally had its topping off ceremony.  Construction crews placed the highest bents on Wednesday, making the coaster reach its full height of 108 feet above the midway below.

With the lift hill topped off, the only large sections of the ride still to go up are the station and the first part of the ride's initial plunge toward the ground.
